Rainbow Cutting Board Workshop
A public woodworking workshop open to all. This is a level 2 workshop - you must have completed a previous workshop to participate.
Overview
Loved one of our classes and ready to take your woodworking skills to the next level? Join us in the woodshop to make a one-of-a-kind board that’s all about creativity and craftsmanship.
You’ll start by picking out pieces of colorful wood and arranging them into a beautifully-patterned board. From mahogany to poplar to yellow heart, all of our wood is natural — no stains or dyes. Glue your pieces together and then we’ll then move through a succession of power tools to plane down the board and cut it to size. Finish it off with some hand-sanding and the most satisfying part: oiling it to make the colors shine.
This level 2 workshop teaches you a number of more advanced power tools, including the planer and table saw. We ask that you take one of our level 1 classes first.
